Hagnus Logos

August 1, 2007 at 7:07 am | Posted in art | 1 Comment

I have created a simple logo using GIMP :). it is not much good but i still gave it as my 1st try. I used Hackers Emblem (created by ESR), some GNU graphics, copyleft logo and a snapshot of a photo of RMS. I have released this artwork under Free Art license , you know, i am a copyleft lover 🙂

Hagnus: I call it Hagnus = Hackers + GNU . It shows that first there were Hackers (1st dot), then came GNU and then GNU invented copyleft and today we have both of them working hard and doing things necessary to make this world a better place to live. I have this logo in a larger size here because I want you to modify it.

I have also placed GNU head and copyleft logo across different positions in the Hacker emblem.

Here are 2 more but little differen:

Hagnus Baby Hagnus Baby Transparent

2nd Logo is not black in color. It is just an illusion produced by WordPress. it is actually transparent, I guess, WordPress has black background so it messes up the things here but if you click on it then you will see the original logo as it is.

A long time ago, I said: I will really like if somebody can create logos where dots, GNU head and copyleft logo move across the different sections of Emblem. If somebody does this then it will be “A Living Hagnus” 🙂 Somebody have already created “Living Glider Emblem” and released it in Public Domain at Wikipedia
